A person who has good physical health is likely to have bodily functions and processes working at their peak.This is not only due not only to an absence of disease. Regular exercise, balanced nutrition and adequate rest all contribute to good health. People receive medical treatment to maintain the balance when necessary.

Physical well-being involves pursuing a healthful lifestyle to decrease the risk of disease. Maintaining physical fitness, for example, can protect and develop the endurance of a person’s breathing and heart function, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition.

Physical health includes every part of your body, from your hair to the nail on your little toe and everything in between. Care for each part to ensure that your overall physical health is the best it can be. Your hair often mirrors your overall health. It can reveal nutritional issues, problems with organs, infections, excessive stress, menopause onset, a dangerous diet, and more. Pay more attention to your hair to see the signs, which could be dry, brittle, hair loss and limp.

The truth is, it can be hard to keep up with all the changes in the recommendations that the government makes for our physical health. There always seems to be a new scientific study that contradicts the last one. And in our busy culture, who has the time to worry about their physical health anyways? It can often feel like a full-time job to make and eat the proper food (sourced in the proper way), get the recommended physical activity each day, and take the myriad of vitamins and supplements that are marketed to us.

Traditional definitions of physical health prior to the onset of modern medicine would have considered someone physically healthy if he or she was not stricken with a serious illness. With modern medical innovations came longer life spans, which changed the way we define physical health. Today’s definition can consider everything ranging from the absence of disease to fitness level.

While physical health consists of many components, here is a brief list of the key areas that should be addressed:

• Physical activity – includes strength, flexibility, and endurance
• Nutrition and diet – includes nutrient intake, fluid intake, and healthy digestion
• Alcohol and drugs – includes the abstinence from or reduced consumption of these substances
• Medical self-care – includes addressing minor ailments or injuries and seeking emergency care as necessary
• Rest and sleep – includes periodic rest and relaxation, along with high quality sleep.

Tips to Improve physical health

1. Drinking More Water:

With varying age, the human body is made up of 60% water. Drinking more water helps in regulating your calorie intake, energises your muscles, also helps in keeping your kidneys healthy and keeps you hydrated.

2. Reading Nutrition Labels:

Loss of weight is considered to be the first step towards a physically healthy body, hence having a look for the total amount of calories that product contains can help. Reading nutrition labels on products helps you in analysing and regulating your calorie intake.

3. Eat More Whole, Unprocessed Foods:

The closer your food is to the way God originally made it, the better. Start by eating fresh fruits, vegetables, and lean meats. Fill up on the good stuff, so you don’t have room for the junk. You likely won’t completely avoid packaged and processed foods, but the goal is just to aim for the majority of your foods to be whole, real, and unprocessed.

4. Reducing Consumption Of Sauces:

Sauces lead to consumption of more calories as they are rich in different kinds of flavours and spices. Reducing its consumption will also help you in appreciating your food more as sauces tend to subtle some of the flavour of your food.

5. Exercise:

If you don’t like exercise, think of it as simply moving. Raise your arms, reach for things, walk outside, etc. Regardless of what you call it, moving gives your body a tune-up. Move more for better physical health even if walking is difficult, you can move more sitting in a chair.

6. Cut out the Sugar:

If you’re looking for something sweet try to choose something like fruit instead of a piece of candy If you feel the need to sweeten something, choose a natural sweetener such as honey or real maple syrup.
Be sure that you don’t just replace table sugar with fake sugar. “Fake sugars” or artificial sweeteners are worse for you than table sugar, so be sure to avoid things with artificial sweeteners such as sucralose, sorbitol, xylitol, aspartame, etc.

7. Have A Body Composition Scale:

Instead of a simple body weight scale, a composition scale helps you in recording and analyzing your progress better. The scale measures your body’s weight, muscles, fat, water and bone density.

8. Get enough sleep:

The number one, most basic way to improve your physical health is to get enough sleep. Preferably, you should be getting an average at least 7-9 hours of sleep in each 24 hour period. I know, easier said than done, especially when you have young kids or your to-do list is long, but sleep should be one of your top priorities. It will make everything else easier.

9. Research A Diet:

According to your health goals and lifestyles, a diet should be the one that compliments the same. So, before starting a new diet, look for the pros and cons of the diet. Your diet should be the one that helps you in a long run rather than achieving a short term goal.

10. Get out side each day:

Even if it’s rainy, even if it’s snowing, even if it’s cold, especially if the sun is shining, I firmly believe that everyone needs some fresh air each and every day. Take a break for just a few minutes at work and walk outside, take a few deep breathes, soak up some sunshine if it’s around, and take a moment to relax and notice your surroundings.

11. Quit Smoking:

To quit smoking is a very challenging thing to do, but it’s one of the life-changing decisions you would take. Support groups, nicotine therapy, exercise are some ways in which you can get rid of this addiction.

12. Manage your Stress:

Your brain controls a lot. Your physical health can be very closely tied to your mental health. The more stressed, anxious, or fearful you are on a regular basis, the harder your body has to work to be healthy. All of the tips I’ve listed above can provide tremendous help in keeping you healthy but if you are chronically stressed and busy, your body will pay for it.
