3rd Wave of Corona

An Overview

Covid 3rd Wave, Covid third wave India Update: According to the recent reports Covid 19 is coming now in India with a new wave that we are calling the third wave. After the first and second waves, this one is calling the Covid 3rd Wave. All the details regarding Covid third wave symptoms, causes, Impact, and other features we are sharing here.
Previously during the second wave, the researchers had accurately predicted in April-May in which thousands of people lost their lives and this time they are saying for more than 1 lakh daily cases so far. To see this upcoming situation many states have mandatory vaccination if outsiders enter the state which is a good decision taken by the state government.

Highly pathogenic coronaviruses can cause these severe diseases due to the fact that they can infect the lower respiratory tract for instance the lung tissue, whereas the coronaviruses associated with the common cold and mild infections, infect the upper respiratory tract, like the nose and throat [8].
All three highly pathogenic coronaviruses share some similarities. They all infect the lower respiratory tract and the infection may present itself in varying degrees of severity – from flu-like symptoms, to acute respiratory distress syndrome.

On being asked about vaccinated people contracting COVID-19, Guleria said that those getting infected after vaccination, what we call breakthrough infection, are predominantly getting a milder infection. So vaccines are effective in giving protection from severe disease, the AIIMS chief said, adding that vaccines are helping in preventing severe disease and death from Covid-19. Infections are still happening but those infected are predominantly those who have not been vaccinated. That’s why we are saying more and more people need to get vaccinated”, news agency PTI quoted Guleria as saying.

Causes of 3rd wave corona

Infection with the new coronavirus (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, or SARS-CoV-2) causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The virus that causes COVID-19 spreads easily among people, and more continues to be discovered over time about how it spreads. Data has shown that it spreads mainly from person to person among those in close contact (within about 6 feet, or 2 meters). The virus spreads by respiratory droplets released when someone with the virus coughs, sneezes, breathes, sings or talks. These droplets can be inhaled or land in the mouth, nose or eyes of a person nearby. In some situations, the COVID-19 virus can spread by a person being exposed to small droplets or aerosols that stay in the air for several minutes or hours — called airborne transmission. It’s not yet known how common it is for the virus to spread this way.

A vaccine can prevent you from getting theCOVID-19 virus or prevent you from becoming seriously ill if you get the COVID-19 virus. Also, if you are fully vaccinated, you can return to many activities you may not have been able to do because of the pandemic — including not wearing a mask or social distancing — except where required by a rule or law. However, if you are in an area with a high number of new COVID-19 cases in the last week, the CDC recommends wearing a mask indoors in public. If you are fully vaccinated and have a condition or are taking medications that weaken your immune system, you may need to keep wearing a mask.

If you develop symptoms of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) or you’ve been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, contact your doctor. Also let your doctor know if you’ve had close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Factors used to decide whether to test you for the virus that causes COVID-19 may differ depending on where you live. Depending on your location, you may need to be screened by your clinic to determine if testing is appropriate and available.

Currently, only one medication has been approved to treat COVID-19. No cure is available for COVID-19. Antibiotics aren’t effective against viral infections such asCOVID-19. Researchers are testing a variety of possible treatments.
The FDA has approved the antiviral drug remdesivir (Veklury) to treat COVID-19 in hospitalized adults and children who are age 12 and older in the hospital. The FDA has granted an emergency use authorization for the rheumatoid arthritis drug baricitinib (Olumiant) to treat COVID-19 in some cases.

Precautions to be taken during the third wave

• Wearing a mask while stepping outside is mandatory for each and every one. However, it is also recommended to wear more than one mask for better protection.
• Take enough time to wash your hands in a proper manner soon after you come back home from the outside. Keep a hand wash prepared for everybody who is entering your house from the outside.
• Use hand sanitizers every time you wear any random object or surface. Always keep this in mind that your silly carelessness can be the reason for a massive sickness of yourself or any of your family members, which may even turn fatal.
• Try not to take public transport while going somewhere. It is always recommended to stay away from crowded zones to avoid getting transmitted.
Apart from all these, you must maintain a distance of at least two meters of any random person you meet. Most of all, when the third wave strikes, it is always recommended to stay home as much as possible and not to step outside if your business is not vitally important.
